Small Groups

Small groups provide the opportunity to study the Bible and fellowship with others in a smaller setting.  If you want more information or need a ride, don't hesitate to contact the group leaders.

Spring 2012 Small Groups

GCFTuesday, 7:15pm

1 & 2 Peter
Leader:  Phil Ansell
Location:  1706 S. Race, Urbana
These books are excellent sources of study for anyone interested in spiritual growth, and how to live life for God, with Jesus as the prime example.  Our study will be centered around this idea of how to live in light of some difficult situations we may find ourselves in, and as a result live as reflections of God's glory.

Thursday, 7:15pm

Exodus
Leader:  Janine Giordano Drake
Location:  206 W. High St., Urbana
The meeting location is accessible on both the Red and Green bus lines. Park in Lincoln Square Mall or on Cedar St.

Wednesday & Thursday, 7:30pm

Paul's gospel
Leader:  David Suryk
Location:  1907 Rugby Road in Champaign
This semester in both of these small groups we will dig more deeply into the Christian life as Paul explained it given his Gospel concerning the Lord Jesus Christ.  What does it mean to reorient our lives around Christ the Lord?  What does it mean to be a Christian today?  How did Paul say we should grow in our Christian faith?
Because this group is so large, it has split into two nights.  Both evenings will cover the same material.
